For this fun mission, your goal is to re-create a YA book cover! Some covers will involve objects to be arranged, some might require some artwork to be created, and some will need YOU to become the character - dressing and posing accordingly! Try to be as accurate as you can, but don't worry about it being exact!! It's all about imagination and creativity! The activities are broken down into three categories, with suggestions of book covers for each one. You only need to complete one book cover to earn 25 points, but feel free to challenge yourself with all three, or use one of your favorite books to recreate the cover! This Lego challenge is all about your favorite BOOK! Your mission is to create anything you like from this book. This could include a character, an object, a scene, a design, or even a feeling! Your creation can be inspired from a picture in the book or made up completely from your imagination! Time to get creative!! 

It's adventure time!! For your minifigs, that is... 

Do you have any Lego PEOPLE (minifigs) lying around the house?? If not, we have some at the library you can use! It's time for them to set off on an adventure - of your own creation, of course! For this mission, you will create three minifig adventures, using additional legos to set up your scene, or ANY supplies you have at home!

Want to unwind with some mindful doodling?? The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn and creative way to make beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Through the Zentangle Method of drawing, you can relax, focus, expand your imagination, and perhaps most importantly... have fun!! 

Use a camera or phone to take and submit photos of the following items! Get creative with your photos!!

Ready for a fun and easy project?? Shrinky Dinks are the way to go!! We will supply the paper and some simple pictures to trace and color... or you can tap into your creative side and design your own!! Check the activity description for full details!

Let's add some FUN to your school supplies this year!! We will be making Washi Tape notebooks and Triangle Collage Notebooks. You can choose which one you like best, or make both! If you have notebooks you want to use, that's great! Otherwise, we will provide one for each style you choose to make. 

Follow the activity instructions to make a fun summer tote bag for your beach gear, road trip snacks, or whatever you need to tote around! You can use one of your own favorite t-shirts, or we will provide one for you! The only other supply you will need is a pair of scissors.

Jazz up your favorite sunglasses or snag a new pair from the library to style up however you like!  This is a fun and easy way to create a unique summer look just the way YOU like it! 

Ready for a sweet treat?? Now you can make your own! Follow the instructions to create your own homeade Jolly Rancher lollipops! These are a quick and easy treat that you will want to make over and over again!! 

Here's a cool weaving craft to make a unique bookmark for your summer reading!! You could even turn this craft into your own headband or bracelet, too! 

Here is a great way to recycle those plastic water bottles! Create fun, colorful wind spirals to hang in your trees!

It's time to get creative!! You might even have the supplies on hand to make this fun craft. If not, that's ok! We've got everything you need to create a colorful decoration for your room or to give as a fun, summer gift! 

Worried about making a beautiful piece of art?? This is the place for you!! The whole point is to make the ugliest creation you can make!! Who's up for a fun challenge?? There's no way to lose! You can use ANY items you have at home... think "ugly sweater party" but as a craft!
