3rd in a series and another amazing book. Enjoyed the book as it was one I couldn't put down once I started it. Well-written, good humor, set in modern times...definitely recommend it!

I thought it was both funny and romantic

Small-Town Summer Brides
by Brandmeyer, Hillman, Lang, Lillard

Fast, easy reading but the typical 4-stories-in-1 book. Feels like the author realized their page quota was almost fulfilled and the story needed to end so it was abruptly completed. Not the best book I've read but certainly not the worst.

Marie, Dancing
by Carolyn Meyer

I loved this fiction book which takes us back the famed Paris Opera when Marie van Goethem, a fourteen-year-old ballet dancer struggles with life and all the obstacles she faces to barely live. Her love for her little sister is heart-warming. All the incredibly hard choices she makes to keep her family together brings so much sadness into her life but yet she struggles on.

Who Was Harvey Milk

This book was okay, it was about Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected official who fought for rights for everyone.

The Secret Garden

The book was weird at the beginning but got better as it went on and ended great.

This Hallowed Ground
by Bruce Catton

Bruce Catton's trilogy about the Army of the Potomac (Mr. Lincoln's Army, Glory Road, This Hallowed Ground) was a magnificent undertaking. The third volume won the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize, but the awards were for the series. Catton's research was impressive, his writing was superb, and his ability to blend individual stories within a coherent general account is unsurpassed. The last year of the Civil War turned hard and ugly even compared to the first three years. The Battle of the Wilderness, stunningly portrayed, followed a doomed cavalry raid on Richmond, and set the tone for the year to come. It wouldn't be until Appomattox that a touch of grace appeared. Grant, Sherman, and Sheridan propelled the Union effort, and their characters are well described.

Graceful

I was so sad to finish the Willow Falls series when I started this book. Wendy Mass genuinely did a great job of making each book come to life. I would highly recommend this book (and series) to anyone who loves magic (and of course, birthdays).

It's a action packed book where they are trying to locate the manifest.
